- The Chelsea Market: for fresh produce, seafood (the Lobster Place), chocolates (Jacques Torres), baked goodies (Amy’s Bread), fancy butchery, local dairy (Ronny Brook), great coffee (9th Street Espresso) and scones (Sara Beth’s)!
- The Essex Street Market
- Epicerie Boulud – great for French pastries, chocolates, salads, sandwiches, and oysters
- Patel Brothers
- Zabar’s – headquarters for gourmet kosher foods, but also a good source for housewares and cookwares on the 2nd floor.
- Jackson Heights Green Market: the largest green market in Queens located in one of the most diverse neigbhorhood in NYC. It’s open on Sundays, year-round.
